Ancram Embraces Solar Offer

The Columbia Paper of Columbia County, New York announced Solstice’s partnership with the town of Ancram. Searching for a way to “solarize” Ancram, the town’s Climate Smart Community Task Force introduced the idea of partnering with Solstice to the Ancram Town Board. Ancram residents and businesses who subscribe to a share in their local community solar garden will receive approximately 10% savings on their electric bill every month, as well as a $50 enrollment bonus. For each new subscriber, the town gets a $50 credit and is one step closer to completing a requirement of NYSERDA’s Clean Energy Communities Program.
